Friend as an AQAD41 with a DP out-drive in a Sealine Statesman 305, late 80's / early 90's

Lost drive in one engine. I suspected the shear 'thing' in the intermediate housing had snapped so we split intermediate / lower to find the lower vertical shaft had snapped! Marinepartseurope website isin't as easy to navigate anymore.... any idea where i'd find the part number for this? It doesn't help that I don't know exactly what out-drive it is... can anyone help ID? (pics attached). Look at all that lovely gasket sealer... wonder is that OE?

Thanks all

You could start with the engine registration and see what drive was paired with it

But realistically after over 30? Years tracking what is in it now is magical mystery tour

Interesting to see if any service records and when it was last used

Looks very much like a DP-A to me. Trouble is that there is also a DP-A1 and DP-A2 as well, and the intermediate shaft changed between the A and the A1 and externally they look identical. I take it that the plate with model no is missing? Your local VP dealer may be able to tell you what was originally sold with the engine if you can find the engine serial number.
