My engines are 10 years old with 650 hours for the last few seasons most of my cruising has been at 1200 rpm displacement speed with the occasional blast to give the turbo a clear out. Recently the port engine has been difficult to start and when it does it seems to be misfiring for a minute, it does seem to be cranking at the right speed but if I parallel the starting battery with the domestic the engine starts faster but still a bit rough on idle. Conversely the starboard engine starts perfectly and runs smooth from the start up.
Any ideas? could I have fouled the injectors by running at low revs? if so why are the symptoms not evident on the starboard engine. As always your comments would be appreciated.
