Hi, I have an volvo D9 500 and the oil pressure is 110 psi on my evic display panel engine cold or hot. The oil temp was 201F, coolant 183F everything seemed normal and the engine ran great. any ideas how to trouble shoot, cheers.
sounds like the oil pressure sensor is knackered.
swap it from one engine to the other (if you have 2)
its mounted on top of the three oil filter block.
I unplugged it and it came up as error where it was unplugged, plugged it back in and same showing 110 psi... wondering if its the sensor end that screw into the filter block???
The oil pressure sensors are digital, so if you disconnect the sensor the ECU and engine display know and show an error message. That's good news as it puts the fault in the sensor mounted on the oil filter block. Looks like the pressure transducer is broken and always communicates 110 psi. If you have two engines just swap them over to check fault moves. They just unscrew 5 minute job. If only one engine see if local official Volvo people can test yours or have a spare you can try.
