Morning all

Quick question, do some VP D6 330 HP stern drive application engines no longer have pencil anodes in the heat exchanger and charge air coolers?

There should be one at the front of the heat exchanger pointing down just behind the belt, and one on the rear of the charge air cooler, often neglected if its close to the transom.

I was lead to believe than some later engines do not have them because the material of the cooler end caps have changed?

Yes later models with new type covers don’t have anodes.
