Boat next door has issues with one engine low rpm.
D6-330’s.

Where exactly is the boost pressure sensor on these?
Diagrams are hopeless.
Actual photo much appreciated.
Part No 9, I think.

I'm thinking slipping prob hub Andy , what's your view?
We did think that, but it has the newer SS props and it can plane - 22kts or so with the other engine not getting past 2600rpm. Normal top speed would be 35kts+
When I had a slipping prop, it was 12kts and a funny smell.
Fuel filters were checked and replaced. Very small amount of black stuff found, but nothing abnormal.
Current plan is that they will limp back to home port at displacement speed and get Vodia hooked up for a proper diagnosis.

The limit of 2600 sounds like a seized or damaged turbo as it's nearly out the range of the super charger .

Mechanic (not a Volvo specialist) did say something about duff turbo. But the strange thing was, all was working fine until they pulled back to idle for a break. Then this …

It’s a D6-330, I didn’t see a supercharger on it.
