I could use some help please:
While underway at cruising RPM (2800) speed, my port engine (2018 D4 260) threw an alarm and code. The code 1.7.7 indicates "Serious fault in fuel supply e.g. leakage in pipes and/or connections."
I do not see anywhere in the hose and fittings where air could be sucked into the fuel lines. I know I have bio/algae in my fuel. I have been treating with emulsifier. So, I changed my primary and secondary filters and rinsed my sensor in clean diesel. This seemed to fix the issue for a few trips (around 11 hrs.). Then the alarm returned, I replaced both filters again (the primary was slimy again), but the error/alarm did not resolve. The engine functions normally below 2200 RPM, but when it gets thirsty at higher speeds... alarm.
Any troubleshooting advice would be great!
