Anyone out there have a replacement parts list of Volvo D1 30 Part No and alternative Pt.No's. for routine service parts.
Every time I do an annual service I seem to end up with different part no.for the same item? and never sure it's the correct spec.part.
Like impeller and filters and non volvo items. (And i guess like most , trying to avoid volvo prices for the same spec part.)

Keyparts or Parts4engines have alternatives for all the main service parts. The former also has genuine parts at a slight discount on Volvo list. For my D1 30 I always use Volvo parts. The difference on an annual oil and fuel filter is less than £20. Properly run the engine needs little else. except for the MD1 electronic control replaced under warranty I have changed nothing on the engine in the 5 years from new except for oil and filter changes so £100 extra on an engine that costs just shy of £6k to replace!

Not saying pattern parts are no good, just that unless you are running high hours where cost becomes an issue, not worth the bother.

I am lead to believe this is the base engine 3 Cylinder | Perkins
I inow the bigger ones are based on the 400 Perkins series, nowt wrong with Perkins parts

They are indeed Perkins engines and OE Perkins filters are no doubt more expensive than pattern parts. Better things to do than worry about saving a few quid when an email to Keyparts and a package arrives the next day with all the bits. Just a once a year chore.

However when I was operating the old boat with a Perkins/Volvo 2030 pattern parts were used as it made a big difference with 500 hours a year, but no skimping on oil.
