Volvo D1 30 ,black exhaust smoke ?

Hi All

Got a volvo D1 30 giving black exhaust smoke over 2000 rpm
Any Ideas ?

Check the usual suspects (in no particular order)
Badly fouled hull
Badly fouled prop
Something wrapped around prop
Blockage on the engine air intake
Blocked exhaust bend
Wrong prop pitch or size

Likely to be one of the above

hola,

when i ask my friend (jobs a good un) to kindly post this thread,i forgot to mention to him this problem also occures when the engine is not under load i.e (drive not engaged).

appreciate the feed back guys.block exhaust looking most likely at mo.
