I have a volvo D9 thats been giving off false alarms everytime I`m out. New alarm codes will pop up everyday. air inlet temp, high oil temperature, helm out of order, communication error, etc,,, some will derate the engine for split second. Engine runs perfect, starts fine, oil and filters changed, fuel filters changed. Just keep getting annoying false alarms is there something I should check or unplug and plug in the connections to HCU and PCU ?

Yes check your connections. If the gauges are turning on and off its often the ignition key.

If you have multiple helm stations, try unplugging one at a time to isolate the fault.

Low voltages can certainly cause this like of thing, so maybe double check the power feed to the EVC system.

This is "normal!". Mine has no errors, the Triangle or low oil port engine as they feel like it .

I have done a half hearted check of connections but it has been like it since I bought it and Volvo could not resolve. It works fine so I just ignore it.

buy some contact cleaning spray and carefully open the ECU connectors and give them a good spray and connect and disconnect a few times. And check out the battery connections and earths at the engines and batteries and anything else in between like fuses or isolators.
