Volvo AD41 DP Consumption

Hi

I am considering buying a boat with a fairly new Volvo AD 41 DP engine. It there anybody out there who can give me a rough idea of its fuel consumption?

For info it is fitted to a 26 foot boat with a semi-displacement hull

A rough guide for diesels is 1 gallon per hour for every 20HP developed. Type of boat irrelavent. If the power id developed the fuel will be used.

Actual useage would indicate that 1 gph per hour per 20 hp is about spot on.when quietly slipping along my 40A will sip fuel at around 1 and a bit gph but when in a hurry consumption goes up to 8gph.Engines are 140hp v***o
