i am looking to do the breather modification on my ad31 engines. would someone be able to point me in the right direction with regards to parts needed etc etc.

I take it you don’t have a filter with your going direct into the air box .

You can just fit a plastic bottle and duct the pipe into it , over time you have to drain the oil from it or fit the filter, housing and sump return though it’s very expensive.

it has the breather filter on the block but not fed anywhere. how expensive are we talking? i only know a little bit about the mod as i was discussing it with someone i purchased some parts off. i assumed it would be a cheapish mod......

I found it helped to reduce the amount of vapour blown out a little be lowering the oil level to bottom of the dipstick indicator flat.

You have the only and best system available, if there is excessive smoke coming out the filter you have an engine piston blow by problem.

thanks for that, no issues. i wont bother looking into it any further. the guy who i was speaking to made out as if carrying out the mod was the better/safer option. i have only just joined the site but have seen your name on a lot of other posts over the last few months so i would rather take your advice than his lol.
