Volvo 2002 direction of prop rotation

Hi Folks,

Can you confirm direction of prop rotation in forward gear . Folding prop has LH stamped on it.

Sorry if daft question just having one of those moments you have with boats

Assuming you have the usual MS2b gearbox the prop shaft rotates in the same direction as the engine when in forward gear.

If you stand behind the boat and look forwards at the prop it will rotate anticlockwise . This requires a left hand prop ... hence your folding prop being marked LH.
