Some time ago i posted a message on this forum about a bearing noise that sounded very similar to a faulty gimbal bearing, but the noise only occurs between 1900 - 2100 rpm. the noise is worse on the left hand steering lock than the right hand lock, but will disapear if the drive is lifted to the maximum allowable when running the engine or if the engine revs are above or below the engine revs mentioned above.
The Volvo agent has replaced the gimbal bearing, and u-joints, but this has not rectified the fault.
The engine/drive has done 14hours, and the work is being carried out under warranty.
Would any Volvo experts like to give their opinion as to what the problem is , as the Volvo agents are running out of ideas.
Regards
