Having spent a hard-won day off polishing the superstructure and cleaning teak on Tuesday - to the extent that I could barely stand up on Wednesday - if that freaking ash cloud causes me to have to do it again I shall be straight over to Iceland shouting, "Oi, Olof. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

You'll not be flying there however! :D

I have it on the4 very best authority that the Rideal Walker Coefficient and granularity spectrum of the aerosol ash is up to the very highest standards of the EU directive 2010/1847/ak/47 for GRP polishing mediums.

So there is no need to rush out and buy any more Farecla or 3M - just rub any dust covered area lightly with a wet flannel, and it will polish up the shiny stuff a treat.;)

We have a bigger problem than ash in our marina, lime tree leaves. They deposit a nasty yellow stain on my lovely white grp!! Even the waxed bits!!

All down to the NW wind. Prevailing direction would have cleared the boat.

Collect it up and send it to me. We pay £300+ a pallet for the stuff normally for our farrow machine. If I could send a plane up to collect it - there are a few flaws in that plan aren't there?
