I recently purchased a 2004 Finnmaster with a VP D3 130, the orange triangle started flashing after the 1st
2-3 hours and continued until I could get a Volvo Penta agent to plug in the Vodia and diagnose the problem
which turned out to be the charge air pressure/temperature sensor. BUT at first the Vodia would not communicate with the EVC, the engineer tried several times including using another Vodia, after 2 hours of trying different things, he contacted someone from Volvo Penta called Tony who said it was the white wire (4 wires in total) that was in the wrong terminal of the 6 pin socket that the Vodia plugs into, it was in pin 4 and should be in pin 5. The Vodia connected within 30 seconds and came up with the faulty sensor. Problem solved. I have since learned that another Finnmaster up in Scotland has the exact same problem when I told the broker who sold me the boat what I had found out. This Tony guy from VP did say there was faulty batches produced with this fault.

That will be good old Tony Wilson

Not sure of his surname, but he knows his stuff, he must go to bed reading manuals...lol
The guys at Royston's in Newcastle didn't know about it and they are a big outfit, I was there with my boat on a trailer for
over 4 hours just to find out what was wrong, only charged me for 2 hours though, they didn't have the sensor in stock but
I got it next day. My boat has only had one owner in 13 years and obviously never had the Vodia plugged in.

Which Finnmaster have you got, Jim? I bought a 2010 model Finnmaster 61CA just over two years ago, but mine has a Honda 135hp outboard.

I have a 6400 MC which obviously has the Diesel inboard, very economical especially as I can fill up with cherry at Morrisons
en route to slipway, none of this 60/40 crap lol
