For those on Voda PAYG who use their phones regularly within Portugal, there is a plan we've just come across. First text or first minute of call each day 25 cents then all calls and texts afterwards on that day 3 cents per minute. Roaming charges as for other plans.

I was put on to it earlier this year.

A friend of mine makes all his calls on Monday and refuses to use the phone for the rest of the week. A retired accountant - natch!
