Days from launching I tightened the cooling drain nut underneath the Reverse Gear housing on my trusty but aged MD17C - it was dripping a tad. The surrounding metal fell out and the casing split. Ugh! Anyone know where I can replace it? Re-conditioned? Exchange? Please????

when I cleaned the cooling channels inside my MD11D with acid, two "freeze plugs" started leaking and finaly fell out. So I was able to look inside the engine. The wall of the cylinder (outer) case was almost gone, eaten up over the years.

I think, your engine has reached end of life. I fixed my leaking "freeze plugs" with epoxy glue temporarly and ordred a new engine. The engine did run with the temporary fix, as there is only a small pressure inside the cooling system.
