Vm 4.2 220 hp 2859 questions

I did get the boost gauge installed. Im building 1bar or 15psi. I should reach about 22 psi. With me solo, half tank of fuel, unknown holding tank and maybe 1/8 tank of water i hit 23mph via gps and approaching 2700 rpms.
After a hard run I may be weeping some diesel from 2 injection lines there it meets injectors and from fuel pump to on engine filter. All flare fitting. I snugged each fitting and cleaned to look for leaks. Very small slow weep but no leaks of diesel are acceptable.

After weeks of back order my tiny tach came in. They had 6mm and 1/4 line sizes. My Italian lines are about 7mm. I got the 6 and gently drilled it out to an sae bit one size under 1/4. My drill bits are old and sizes stamped in long gone so i don't know the exact measurement. It was a cheap set of dewalt gold color bits in a roughly 6x4 case from home depot or lowes.

I attached and launched. Found my tach over 1500 rpms off. Got her adjusted to proper calibration.

Im now 3750 rpms wot lightly loaded solo going between 22.5 and 23 mph. Cruises smoothly about 3200 rpms about 17 to 18 mph with tabs deployed a good bit

Big cow 16p 4 blade stainless hill marine prop.
Im now happy I didn't dig in deep looking for an issue that wasn't there.

I am only reading 15 to 16 max psi but my boost gauge hose is a good 10 to 15 ft long if not longer. I don't have charge pipes to blow out or leak any boost leaks on the aftercooler/intake should leave traces of oil or water, maybe both.
