I wouldn't mind a visit, but the information on Sail the Wash and the website say that max draft is 1.5m.

My boat is 1.95m, but I was thinking it would probably be OK on a neap tide, especially if its soft mud, I've no idea how conservative they are with the depths.
Unfortunatlly the only number I found was a visitors centre and I doubt whoever I speak to there will have much info on depths.

Any one been there recently that could share the depths they got at LW?

We went there about 3 yrs ago in a friends boat. Stayed overnight so didn't check depth, we draw about 1.6m from memory. As you approach Kings Lynn across the Wash, make sure you follow the buoys not your chart plotter as buoys moved frequently.

Can't say obout depth but one thing to look out for at springs is the very strong flood tide, much stronger than the ebb. Best to moor facing seaward.

Thanks guys. We would be heading down from the Humber so pretty used to strong tides.
I'll give the number above a call, for some reason I only saw the council and 'sail the wash' websites when searching.

My memory is that the tidal range is pretty darn large.

Would correlate with large tidal streams I would have thought.
