Hi guy's i can borrow a friends yacht when ever i want so was woundering if there is visitors berths for a weekend around the minehead area and if any one know's what sort of price i would be looking at paying for a berth for a 25ft yacht.

Thanks in advance James

I believe Minehead does have drying visitor moorings in season, not sure of the cost. Best phone the harbour master on 01643 702566

Watchet is just up the coast and has a marina accessible about 2 hours either side of HW if you need to stay afloat.

Watchet proces are on their web site:

Not been to Minehead myself by boat by have done Watchet, nice little marina, lots of pubs in the town. Take care getting in on springs though.

Only enter Watchet 1hour after the gate ha opened as the currents are very strong through the gate. Leave it even longer springs. This season we will only enter Watchet as near to high tide as possible due to a very bad experiance last year as a result of entering the marina just after the gate opened.

Cheers guys, it doesnt really matter if its a drying berth as she is a bilge keeler, will ring up when im planning on going.

Not a day I like to think about. Pm your email address and I will send a few pics over the weekend. Who and crew were a real help that day. Anyway once all the boats were put to bed a stiff drink did help.

In order of technical merit and artistic interpretation

Watchet restricted entry option - did once actually sail in and pick up the pontoon. Is William still there? Suspect not, nice guy though.
Watermouth is straight out of S&A and beautiful despite that.
Minehead is a joke - the HM has always been a figment of a fevered imagination. Who collects the money I've left in their post box is another matter. Not too much to tie up to, so you can expect to anchor.
Then there is Porlock Weir, but it is stricly for the porlicks - mind the hidden wall and do not go to the Hotel.
Do not forget Lynton if you're tired of living on the planet earth and your boat can turn in less than its own length.

Reeds details prices and useful stuff like that
