I am pleased to be able to say that after the Government’s relaxation of ‘social distancing’ requirements on Monday 19th July, the West Mersea Yacht Club launch service will once again be available to visiting yachtsmen.
The club was forced to suspend the service for visitors as due to “social distancing“ requirements, the number of passengers that were able to be carried on the launches was halved, and so we could not in all conscience have our own members waiting for a long time for the launch service because it was full of visitors.
You can contact the Club launch on Channel 37 call sign YC1 ( pronounced ‘why-see one’). Service timetable is on the Club web site www.WMYC.org.uk
The Club restaurant remains open for lunches every day, and dinner on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Visitors arriving by boat are welcome. Please introduce yourselves and sign the visitors book.
