I thought to visit the Premier Marina, this is about a 45 minute cruise from the mouth of the entrance. My boat draws about a metre and I wondered how long to wait before high tide to get over the sandbar. My thinking was about 2 hours either side. I would appreciate any feed back.

What over the bar at the entrance to Chichester harbour?

Access depends on the weather but the last survey ( June 2010 ) shows 1.2m below CD although they say nearer 1.5 close to the beacons.

The info should be on the website and other details of the approach etc

It's really only in bad weather and close to LW springs that the harbour is inaccessible.

As said above, unless you're at the bottom of a low spring with a bit of a swell I wouldn't worry. We've been based in Chichester for 11 years and NEVER had a problem with the bar.
