Visiting a marina, move if berth holder returns?

As a newbie excuse my ignorance, is this question only pertinent to tidal berths.
Only i thought when i paid for my mooring that it was mine for the next 12 months, whether i was in it or not..

Usually in the T&Cs in a marina it says that they will provide a berth for your boat, but not a specific berth and that you can be moved or another boat put in your berth if you are not using it. Marinas do generally try to keep berth holders in the same berth wherever possible.

The T&Cs apply to both berth holders and visitors though so anyone can be moved around if the marina decides it is necessary.

You would need to have a look at the small print in your berthing licence to see what applies where you are.

Most marinas seem to say they can move you to another berth if they want to so I guess as long as you have somewhere to come back to there isn't much to be said?

And equally as a visitor they can move you, the T&Cs apply to visitors too. So as long as they offer you another berth for the duration of your stay, there isn't much to be said either.
