I have a ten year old Vion Morin 2000 had bearing compass. It works well but the illunination has now died. Does anyone know if the light source, I ithink it used to use a beta light but more recently some sort of phosphorous, can be replaced? If so, I would be grateful for a contact.

Seath Instruments...

I've used Seath Instruments in Lowestoft. They repaired the Plath Venus compass from my 352 last year. Seem to be helpful and versatile, and not too expensive.

In contrast, some years ago I had great difficulty getting SIRS in Kent to complete a repair they'd started - it took months!
