Villefranche advice - paddle boarding

I take it the bell will be ringing at Anjuna then!

My wife is very angry at what is happening to her favourite lunch spots. I hope the restaurants have enough trade to keep going with out the sun loungers to supplement the business cash flow.

Slight fred drift but any views on types of SUP? 100 years ago I was a windsurfing instructor, so can probably cope with the balancing stuff. I was thinking I might get an inflatable one as it'll be easier to put in the trash when I remind myself that I'm a fat old knacker who needs a TUE to get across the bay. :encouragement:
My lady wife gave me one of these https://www.twobarefeet.co.uk/stand...-10-x-6-inflatable-sup-starter-pack-blue.html last year. Have used it half a dozen times and its great. I used to windsurf, so didn't find too many problems getting up and paddling. I start by kneeling on the board about midships, then stand up. Best tp bend knees when paddling, and as Porto says, one foot slightly ahead of the other works well too. The only dunkings I have had have been on dismounting, trying to get neatly back on a pontoon! This can be variable. The paddle is in 3 pieces, and floats as an assembly. However, the middle section does not, and I have consigned one of these to the depths of the Hamble. You are very welcome to give mine a go, if we can make the timing work.

Indeed the bells did and the fireworks and the rosé and the bill to match ..... cracking day.

It was actually quite overcast yesterday so turned out to be the better lunch spot.
