We are in the process of buying a Nimbus 380 which has a flybridge with a clear plastic windscreen, the sides of which fit in Stainless frames, although the top edge is unframed. I think it is either acrylic or polycarbonate. The screen is a little hazy and there is some crazing near the top edges.
We are considering having a tint film applied partly for aesthetic reasons and in part to hide the crazing.
Any views welcome please.
We have been told that normal self adhesive film causes acrylic to gas and that an intermediate layer might be required but we do not want to lose visibility through the screen.
