We had one from 2005 -2014 -- but it was well maintained.
Just goes to show .
Ours was my1st. Mo bo and vividly remember agent from Sunseeker ,who sensed I was a novice telling to tell me words to the effect of keeping on top of the maintenance etc ,or they go downhill rapidly .
Also my Guardienne in the SOF , stuff like hull polish etc is done every year .
It seems to have no Aircon ?
There's 14 y of deferred maintenance there .
We had our rear 1/4 haunches painted @ y 7 ,our teak bathing platform too was getting ready for replacement.
Tbh is was disapointed to find out it was not real teak .
We had some minor gel coat cracks near thebase of the cockpit SS window frame ,only 1cm long ,not that bad .
Radar arch tiny cracks ,bit near the top .
I put these down to me hammering it to hard up wind .It did used to slam a bit when pressed -but I guess they (all hard chine ) do ultimately ?
Bow cushion turned yellow -sun issues -we had it recovered .
Kad 300 + DPG were VP dealer maintained ,so no issues ,bit Ithink they were coming up for a "Major " -before I sold it .
turbo,s we tired and heat exchangers due a strip down ,+ risers were corroding .
Problem is VP out drives are fine new,or newish ,but after say 7-10 y +++ -then IMHO they turn into consumables.
Buyer be aware !
The b/T needed 2x gearboxes @€ 800 each. + labour fitting .
Towards the end VP BP 3.5 's from memory ,they are now out of parts s--- silly design .
Fischer Panda Geny of that era ,I would be surprised if it ,still working -corrodes away .Imanaged to bodge mine for its sale
Another big bill missed .
Actually looking back I spent a small fortune on them ,the engines over the9 y .
Allthough my current fuel bill is higher ,or can be ? -the maintenance cost of running a pair of 6 cy MAN,s is a fraction -really -just filters /fluids , and easy DIY -no real specialist knowledge ,skills or tools - truck engines .
What that P35 really taught me was this -- things I did not want in my next boat .
How ever we went all over in it @27 knot cruise -3000 rpm -Italy ,Elba ,Corsica ,Marsielle etc.
12 M handy size for getting a berth on spec .
That boat btw was for sale here in the SoF 2-3 y ago when I offloaded mine .It helped me:encouragement: buyers saw that I think they were asking €140K
Here a pic of a well maintained one - mine -no hull issues nice n shiny (Dulon 2)
Real teak -solid bath platform - 15 mm planks-on the Itama -- stainless steel marine grade (none coroding ) Paserelle ---- no "alloys " painted here
.
Although not shown there's no gel coat cracks ,craze anywhere .
