How do you know it's going to capsize, though? People will mostly assume that it isn't all going to go that wrong.

At the rate that that thing was going down at the stern port quarter, I'd have been tempted to get out and walk a damned sight sooner than some of the pax seemed willing to do :cool:

Boat listing at close to 45 degrees or close to it, then sudden shift of weight (passengers losing grip or moving to side closest to water) could provoke capsize. I'd prefer treading water an extra two minutes than get caught up in the panic of boat going down.

Yeah for sure - but you are boaters, with a different perspective to the general public who would typically be the pax.

Terrifying stuff though, and tragic outcome.
