Hi,
I have a Victron Muliplus installed professionally last year.
It's a 3kW 50Hz inverter, 120amp 12volt charger, designed for a 16amp AC shore supply.
It works OK, charges and provides 240v AC.
However, I'd like to be able to feed the 16amp shore supply through the multiplus, without charging the batteries. ie Switch the battery charger off.
This because the boat has a LiFePO4 battery bank, and I don't want to charge that to 100%, it's better charged to 80%.
I can't see anything in the manual, and the supplier isn't answering my emails.
Any victron experts out there who could help?
Cheers
Ian

Ian,

interesting, I have the same Multiplus. On the switch there are four options:

1) off
2) on
3) charger only
4) inverter only

I’m guessing that option 4 would facilitate pass through without the charger on? I haven’t tried it though.

Thanks, I can see that setting the float lower that 13.4v will stop the charging and setting the absorbtion time to a few minutes at 13.5 v would work.
But I think that means having the victron to USB connected all the time, and a PC to hand to change it when required. At times I may want to take the batteries to close to 100%.
I'm also unsure of the criteria to switch from bulk to absorbsion, there's a time limit, but I'm not sure about the voltage limit.
It seems that this version of the software isn't really set-up to work easily with Lithium batteries.
