VHF Radio Channel on Mersey???

We tend to keep the radio on 37 for the marina lock when out on the Mersey but would it be wiser to switch to 12 (as advised in pilotage notes) or 16?

You should have it on dual watch 16 and 12 if thats what they advise. Some sets can watch more than two stations.

You would only need 37 to request a lock in or lock out.
Very wise to keep watch on 12, and good idea to make a note of commercial traffic movements which VTS broadcast on Ch9
