BNC Connectors.
One of the failings of the BNC connector is that with the 6mm diameter coax the inner conductor and insulation can shrink or retract in length. With the soldered type connectors this then withdraws the centre pin into the connector. Hence bad connection. A simple test is that you should be just able to touch or catch the pointed end of the centre pin with a finger nail. ie the tip should be level with the barrel. If it is significantly lower you will have trouble. An easy check each time you operate the connector. olewill
