VHF for a RIB

I've recently purchased a centre console RIB and need to fit a panel mount VHF radio.

Space is limited but my main concern is water ingress, being on a tender, I don't need gps.

Recommendations for a simple unit would be much appreciated.

Icom is a brand I would recommend on the basis of both the fixed radio and the handheld I have are simple and robust.

Be aware of and avoid bargain prices which may be counterfeit copies. Buy from a reputable retailer.

Fitted a Standard Horizon the the club safety boat about 4 years ago, working fine, no issues. Look at the GX1400

You generally can't go wrong with either an Icom or Standard Horizon model - I've had both on a range of RIB's, and never had any water ingress issues.

I have two Icom M601 fixed VHF sitting in the shed that I just haven't got round to putting on eBay if of any interest. Both in good order.

Thanks Greg but the M601 is too large for the limited mounting space.
