I've just been doing some research into VHF equipment and have compiled a list of all the manufacturers of marine VHF. Just thought I'd share this in case it's useful to anyone - the list includes links which are specific to the UK where appropriate (so apologies to overseas forum users). If I've missed one, please let me know and I'll add it in:

Regards,
Austin.

Nasa have a VHF, though I think it's a rebadged Silva.
I did have a look at NASA's site, but couldn't find a VHF - just a VHF extension speaker. I think Silva became Nexus which is now Garmin? Bit confused about Silva tbh - they have a site but no marine VHF equipment is listed, yet some online retailers still seem to be selling the kit.

There are loads more makes of marine VHF, especially in the handheld market. But just a few more for your list might be Digitech, Intek, JMC, Jotron, Midland, Uniden.

Thanks PVB, I couldn't find a manufacturer website for Digitech but have added the others.

Slightly awry re the Nexus/Silva issue. Garmin don't have it - Allspars are the UK distributor

Hmmm… Looking at the Nexus site though, they no longer list VHF (their former VHF page http://www.nexusmarine.se/start/vhf/ now has no content and is no longer linked from their main navigation). Also, their logo says "Nexus a Garmin company". Do you have a link to a VHF radios page for them?

Nope, all I know is that if I need Nexus kit, I have to go through Allspars, definitely not Garmin. Opens an eye that Nexus are a Garmin company though, never came across that before....
