VHF deputising an operator

Quick question ,

If your boat is licensed and the VHF licensed operator is on the boat, can they deputise their duty to use the VHF in their presence with sufficient reason ?

Under your licence you can, others can operate as supervised by you, you are still responsible.

Yep .. that's it in one ...

Basically - the authorities recognize there are many occasions where this can be needed ... so its written into the rules.

There is one exception ..... where an unlicenced person can operate without supervision ..... that's in an Emergency Situation.

kids and their partners a marine course and exam amd they can train ams deputise their partners .when stealing our RIB for the day .
