Just read my post again and something seems to have gone wrong with it!!Prhaps i was in to much of a hurry as my time was up on the pc!!
Thankfully benbows given a great reply with the size!To try your radio you can use cable clamps those smallish plastic lengths found in any supermarket cut two off and clamp with the screw the screen and one wire then the center core wire with the other wire.
you can lash some string on one end and tie it to the back stay for example makeing it a vertical diapole!!
Then note 0.46m incase you want to do it in the future id forgoten and my anntenna books not on this boat!!
