Vetus supplier

No John! But what I can do is thoroughly recommend Vitesse Marine at Fareham. I spoke by 'phone to a chap there and he soon identified a problem I had re a duff exhaust temperature sensor.
He knows his stuff inside out and if memory serves me right, even knew the part number from memory.

They have a website http://www.vitessemarine.co.uk/ which is currently under construction.

Was your problem that the exhaust alarm kept on going off for no reason? I have had to unplug mine as it went off constantly.

If that was it then could you tell me how much the new sensor was?

Cheers,
Nick

Yes Vitesse marine. they will sort you out. They dont normally deal with the public only supply boaty shops and cruise ships. they have a vast stock of stuff from anti fouling, caulking, lewmar etc... and cheaper than most boaty shops. I found them a few years ago when i was replacing a teak deck. Very knowledgable / friendly guys I even got a tour of there vast ware house of bits. phone if you intend to turn up on a saturday as they are often shut.

Yes, that was the problem ridgy. Trouble was at the time I didn`t know there was an exhaust temperature sensor on my 11hp twin, nor the fact that it was hidden at the back of the engine hidden away underneath the exit to the exhaust!! VitesseMarine did.

Cost? Heck, not sure, but had it been expensive I would have definately remembered. No doubt it was less than a tenner.
