I am about to change my old mild steel diesel tank for a new plastic one. The choice seem to boil down to either Vetus or a standard Tek-Tanks. There's only about £20 difference between the 2 so that's pretty negligable. What is the view of the all knowing forum?

I've used both. No problems with either.

The thing to remember is that tek-tanks are UK based so high quality advice is always directly available.

I did go for tek-tanks when I wanted a diesel tank for my present boat. Helpful and quick delivery.

I changed my old mild steel diesel tanks for two Vetus 335 litre ones, because they were weeeping.
No problems except to check that the drain bungs in the bottom are done up tight before installation.

Tek tanks did my holding tank, excellent outfit, very helpful, high quality work. Mine was a custom job because of the awkward space available and was therefore quite expensive, but their standard sizes seem to be quite competitively priced.

Probably a bit late now, but I have ordered a new tank this morning from TEK-TANK, who say I should have it in the morning, and Sharron the sales manager was very helpful and even gave me a 10% discoubt just for asking.
Will let you know how I get on.
Incidently what size are you after? as the forum member DAKA has a plastic fuel tank for sale, complete with sender.
