I noticed a weep of hydraulic fuid from the cylinder from where the ram comes out. Do these units come apart/ can they be serviced etc or is it chuck away and buy a new one? Thanks in advance.

I have the same problen and have been thinking about taking it to bits. For five years! It does not lose much fluid, so I have never bothered to get down to it. I would imagine it comes to bits easily enough (but whether it goes together again is another question) and that new seals can be obtained via a hydraulic servicing company. Try a farmer for advice on where you will find one. They are serviceable.
