Vetus engine service agents

[lost the plot]

I have a Vetus VF5 220 E the engine is 5 years old and done only 168 hours. It has developed a fault of stalling when going into gear,and if you can get it into gear will only run at low revs.I am looking for an engineer in the north east who can tackle this problem .The nearest Vetus engineer I can find to tackle the problem is 3 and half hours drive away from Grimsby.Making cost prohibitive.

I think I'd try a local diesel mechanic first of all as it sounds like a diesel problem rather than electronic.
