Hi
I am installing dual station controls on my boat, I have bought the Vetus DS unit for the gear box and can see exactly how that works,
However the DS KIT F throttle kit has me flummoxed , Its obvious that the brass arm bolts to the lever on the injection pump to pull the lever from either of the controls when connected but what stops the other lever jamming as they can't both operate at the same time?
The whole kit seems very flimsy and unsupported, There seems nowhere to fasten the plastic cable connectors in any case I would give the system about a weeks use before it fails.
If any member can explain how it works I would appreciate it. and picture of it installed and working on their engine might end my confusion.
Regards
DaveT

The plastic cable clamp fits where the existing single one is and the bit you attached to the throttle lever slides over the cables being pulled by whatever cable is used at the time, you don’t thread it on to cable like you do the single cable fitting.

Hi Boat 2016
Thanks for confirming what I suspected was the way it should operate, Do you have this kit on your boat and does it perform without problems. I seem to be being overly pessimistic but having been rammed by a boat with its throttle jammed am cautious to get it right.

Hi, I had this on a previous boat a few years ago and wasn’t Vetus but was identical in how it worked. I think I had the Volvo Penta equivalent.
