I'm trying to source some ½ " x No 2 A4 (306) SS countersunk self tapping screws, preferably X head, posidrive or similar. I only need 4, to replace the screws on the terminal cover of a Quick windlass, which have been mangled …. which is I think the correct technical term.
I have sourced ½” x No 4, but they look too big for the very thin plastic they have to screw into and I don’t want to destroy the terminal box, which would be very expensive to replace.
Seascrew.com don’t stock self tappers that small and I’ve search the internet, but can’t find anyone who would sell me small quantities.
Anyone any ideas where I can but some?

I bought a large number of assorted A2 screws both csk and panhead from this company for various current and future needs. A total of 540 screws for £20.
www.westfieldfasteners.co.uk . They are excellent people to deal with and very competitively priced.
Just another satisfied customer.

If you pm your details, I will put 5 off in the post to Foc, but you will have to wait till the weekend. Geoff

Thank you!

Thanks,

I've ordered some from modelfixings.com, for £3.00 it isn't worth the hassle of looking any further, although they may be A2 …. there is no indication of the grade on the website, I’m sure they be OK, I’ll just put a dab of grease on them.
Thanks Geoff, for the offer of some FOC, but the offer came in too late, I’d already order some.
