Very simple, and free, CAD programme needed

I went with "Inkscape" in the end having tried "Librecad" and looked at some others on the way.

After three evenings of frustration and I'm beginning to make some sense of it.

Some time ago a forumite recommended http://www.frontpanelexpress.com who offer software for you to design panels, forward the file to them and let them make it.

Easy, accurate and straightforward. The part about sending files can be omitted and a printout makes a nice template for DIY.
 
DIY might be way to go although I believe that more good manufacturers are around, Bluesea being one.

I did some alterations by adding relays to get the larger loads off the tiny switches in the panel. All were already below the rated amps but rather safe than sorry with electrics that are no longer brand new.
