I have decided I will be in Port Dinorwic on the 13th January when we are expecting a 6.1 metre tide. If the weather stays with high pressure and little wind, then it should pass off without drama.

High? Don't you mean small? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

No. I mean high, big, grand, alpine, altitudinous, colossal, elevated, eminent, formidable, giant, gigantic, grand, great, high-reaching, high rise, huge, immense, large, lofty, long, sky-high, towering, tremendous, uplifted.

What part of 'high' did you not understand? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Okay. Mine was a serious post, now reduced to a kicking from the big Bristols.

The high tide expected on the 13th will mean that the sea will push the lock gates back and some boats will have to be secured to stop them floating over the dock wall if the wind and pressure is wrong.

So, please carry on laughing at the possible damage to a few boats...as long as they are not yours..........

The staff in my marina are very professional and hands on, but there will be boats in other marinas that may not have the people around to lend a hand.

when i read your post i thought the "high" was
about the pressure not the tide /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yes. I am sorry. The headline "Very High Tide" and "we are expecting a 6.1 metre tide" does make it seem as if I wasn't talking about the tide. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

6.1 would be a neap down here, only ribbing you! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You never know a few Bass may get neaped! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You'll have no problems in the outer harbour.
