Been wanting a vertical ice cube tray for years so thought I'd do a thorough search. My fave is Cube Tube (http://www.quirky.com/products/274-Cube-tube-ice-tubes), but it's still only in development.
There's the Orb (http://www.amazon.com/Fusionbrands-Silicone-Vertical-Cube-Tray/dp/B001DI3C5S) but it's more like a Tupperware tub. I'm looking for something flat.
I've seen expensive aluminium trays (saw them on theboatgalley.com, I think) but they are priced at $60 or so.
I'm not interested in reusable ice cubes as it's not proper ice, and disposable bags are both not available here and not practical.
The best solution I've come across so far is the Oxo Good Grips, available on Lakeland - http://www.lakeland.co.uk/17089/OXO-Ice-Cube-Tray, and Amazon - http://goo.gl/rteKgF. Although it says you can only store at 45 degrees one reviewer said they had theirs upside down without spillage. The only drawback is that it's pretty big, but the more icecubes, the more sundowners I say!
Any other options out there I may have overlooked?
