Versilcraft Mystere 42 Qs

Congratulations Vassilis, I'm glad to see that good sense prevailed
Good luck with the delivery, I'm looking forward to all future threads.
Marcus.

just to let you know, money-contract exhanged yesterday lunchtime.
Completion of sale will be another 10days or so away (legal doc and lots and lots of paperwork that I'm glad I'm not involved with)
So should be back in the water before the end of the month for the delivery trip to Volos.

will be some new posts with photos and not problems soon...

thanks for all comments/suggestions/explanations given todate and looking forward to more in the future ;)

V.

congratulations Virtuvas !
you've got yourselve a nice girl with lots of potential,

perhaps you know that I have been looking at a similar (but bigger) project boat, and finally ended with a boat in much better conditions,

and yes I do like these old lady's, a boat with "character" as I like to call them

good luck with the project,
I notice you share your plans, and at the same time get and greatfully accept lots of usefull advice here from the experienced forum mates,
just like I do.

some more info,

PYB helped me contact a knowledgeable surveyor that BartW also used (thanks a lot William!) who replied over the w/e saying that Versilcraft Mysteres are indeed made of plywood and not laminare and furthermore relatively cheap plywood from Kaja wood (haven't got a clue what that means) and he'd be very cautious in getting such a craft as maintenance costs would be quite high.
.

yes, GC is certainly the best man to talk to, regarding a old boat hull,
he has loads of experience and information, and doesn't mind to share that with you, as you mighty know by now

Congratulations Virtuvas. I'm looking forward to future threads and pictures of the delivery trip and re-fit. Good luck with the project
