Ventnor Haven

A big sign at Ventnor says:

Purpose of the Haven:

....To provide a haven which could be used by pleasure craft for recreational and angling trips as well as a stopping off point for craft passing round the south coast of the Isle of Wight....

so how does this help access to the haven for visiting boats?

and improve launching facilities from the slipway?

By pleasure craft, I think they musy be referring to kayaks. One-man kayaks.
