Can anyone identify this veneer please...1978 boat...someone suggested Ash?

Could be elm. Many Feeling yachts were finished with elm.

If it is a Stag 28 this indicates teak and ash:

The yellowing would be tricky to match.

Thanks all. It is indeed a Stag 28 and I had a vague recollection of being told/reading that it was Ash. I just couldn't reconcile the colouring and wondered if it may be something else. Maybe it's the effect of age on the lacquer that was used. All the photos of other Stags seem to have, more or less, the same colour.
