Evening all.

I am looking at replacing 2 pieces of veneered plywood window surround which run the length of the cabin. These are thin and have de-laminated in places and warped due to damp and window condensation.

It is 3-ply construction, about 6mm thick or so with the outer finish in golden pale elm (according to the manufacturer), and matches the rest of the boat interior.

The size I need would be approx. 4'6" x 1'4". If not ply then a solid timber, albeit thin - as above, alternative might suit. Could anyone recommend a supplier please?

Many thanks.

There is a firm in Fareham called Hawke House Marine. They sell the very good quality plywood made by Robbins Timber Ltd of Bristol and I was told that they have samples available. Might be worth going and having a look at what they have and seeing if you can find some to match yours.

According to Robbins, HH do not keep stock of their plywood but order what you want. You can of course buy it direct from Robbins. You can buy whole sheets [4' x 8'] or half or quarter sheets.
