I've been following this race since the start and the official website is very good with lots of Pics. Video and Audio. However, I cannot get the video to run and I've downloaded Realplayer more than once but still no go. Anybody else got this prob.???

nope - all works fine on Win2k, Win2003 Term sever and WinXP Pro ...
Not tried it on the Mac yet though

Ted,
Just given it a go, and got video pretty quickly with no problems, even on a pretty poor dialup connection. Do you have a firewall installed? Have you tried real video on another site just to check if it is site dependent?

Agree it's an excellent site (could do with brushing up on my French for the daily interviews though).

I noticed the site complains if you have an ad blocker running. Once I’d turned that off the video and pictures work fine. Could this be the problem?

Just tried on my Mac - running OS 10.3 Panther - and the vids work a treat.

The videos do come up in a new window with embeded Real player required. Most pop-up blockers (including googles) don't stop a new window being opened when clicking on a link.

Thanks all for your suggestions but I still cannot get it to work. Neither Video or Audio work for me. When the window comes up it seems to be incomplete as there does not appear to be any control buttons i.e. FF, Stop etc.

Ted, can you take this question down to the Website Feedback forum.

Can get it to work for you, but don't want to clutter up this forum with techie stuff. Need to ask you some questions, and give you some suggestions which may take a bit of to an froing with you trying and giving feedback on what occured. Sure it's something quite simple, as it's working for others, so probably a simple configuration problem.

It could be you just need to define your connection type in the connection settings in Real Player. I'm no expert in Real Player, but I've had simmilar problems using Media Player9 and Winamp and all I did was just define the connection type.

Hope this helps!
