Aside from the official website, is there any way that a non-Sky subscriber can see coverage of any of the race start on TV anywhere?

I assume that the UK media will be showing its usual high level of interest in the event (especially as our ellen will be elsewhere), but thought I would ask in case by some chance there might be a 2 hour live special with later highlights and expert analysis this weekend..........

I would hazard a guess that BBC will cover it in due course. what they normally do is get Andrew Preece Productions knock out the programme and quite often these APP progs are aired about 4 weeks after the event. Maybe someone at IPC Media could ask Andrew as he is on the pay roll as to whether he is doing anything for the Beeb?

Went to Les Sables d Olonne last Sunday for open day on the Vendee Globe fantastic.
Brilliant atmosphere, complete village built around the marina for the event.
No car parking charge. No entrance fee. Free official programme. Free posters.
Allowed onto pontoons to view the yachts, must have been 10000 people there.
They are expecting 60000 for the off next Sunday.
